I was awoken at 7:00am Saturday morning by our youngest, who had snuck into our bed in the wee hours of the morning. Telling the children to stay in their own beds is all well and good, but unless we lock our door at night, there is no way to fend them off when we are completely unconscious.
Barley was poking me in the face randomly. Not hard, and not near my eyes, but enough to wake me up.
Me: What is it, Barley, why are you poking me in the face?
Beloved youngest child: No reason, Mommy. I just wanted your attention.
Frustrated sleep-deprived parent: OK, but I was sleeping, honey.
@#%&@#@! offspring: I know. (giggle)
Me: AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!
We came, we saw, we tired
