DH was making the kids laugh by doing Cary Grant impressions. The boys were cracking up at the unique pronunciation and phrasing. Of course, they have NO IDEA who Cary Grant was. We tried to explain that he was a famous actor in the first half of the 1900's (why does that sound so ancient?) and he was so handsome, women LOVED him. He also made a lot of great movies.
Anyway, DH stopped doing the Cary Grant voice, and the boys begged him to please do it for them again. I slyly joked that I would like him to do the voice for me a little later, too. Well...10-year old Teddy jumped on that and added, "With the lights dimmed, and romantic music playing too, right Mom?!" I just about died from embarrassment, and humor, and a little bit of shock that my mild flirtation had not just gone right over Teddy's head like it used to. Very, very funny. And a teensy bit awkward...

Too funny! It's hard to adjust the little things you say as they become more sophisticated....
